Guess the Rank lets users watch Valorant gameplay clips and guess the player's rank. You can submit clips, play in endless mode without an account, or create a free Guess the Rank account to play ranked mode and sync progress with the Valpulse app. Ranks can optionally be verified via the Valpulse app (QR code).

Depending on how you use the site, we process:

• Gameplay clip metadata (video URL, platform, guessed rank, gamer tag, upload time)
• Anonymous play sessions (play limits, temporary game state) via cookie and sessionStorage
• Guess the Rank account: username, Firebase user ID, internal login identifier (synthetic email, not shown to you), password stored only as a hash by Firebase Authentication
• Ranked and endless progress: points, rounds, seen clip IDs, best scores, active game state (Firebase Firestore)
• QR login session IDs for signing in on the website via the Valpulse app (Firebase Firestore)
• Language preference (localStorage) and cookie consent choice (localStorage)
• With your consent: advertising data via Google AdSense

Ranked mode requires a free Guess the Rank account (username and password). You do not enter a real email address; we use an internal identifier in the form username@guessrank.valpulse.app for Firebase Authentication only.

Account and progress data are stored in Firebase (Authentication and Firestore collections guess_rank_usernames, guess_rank_accounts, guess_rank_progress, guess_rank_login_sessions). Progress syncs between this website and the Valpulse app when you use the same account.

This Guess the Rank account is separate from any Riot Games or Valpulse app login used for rank verification or premium features. Endless mode remains playable without an account.

Essential: An httpOnly cookie (gtr_play) and, where cookies are unavailable, the same session ID in sessionStorage (gtr_play_session) or request header (x-gtr-session) enforce play limits and prevent abuse. Language (gtr_locale) and cookie consent (gtr_cookie_consent) are stored in localStorage. QR upload and domain-fallback helpers use sessionStorage (gtr_upload_session, gtr_domain_fallback_from).

Marketing (only with consent): Google AdSense may set cookies and process usage data for personalised or non-personalised ads. You can withdraw consent anytime by clearing site data or contacting us.

Clips, QR sessions, Guess the Rank accounts, and game progress are stored in Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore). Provider: Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

If you accept marketing cookies, Google AdSense may display ads on the Guess the Rank page (/GTR). The landing page stays ad-free. Google may use cookies and similar technologies. Optional QR flows connect the website with the Valpulse mobile app: clip upload, play-limit unlock, rank verification, and web login for your Guess the Rank account. The website displays only a QR session ID; the app processes its own account data under the app's privacy terms. QR sessions are short-lived and deleted after use.

Processing is based on:

• Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — providing the game, clip submission, and Guess the Rank account features
• Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — abuse prevention, security, session management, and cloud sync
• Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — marketing cookies / AdSense (consent)

Clips remain stored until removed by admins or flagged. QR sessions are deleted after verification or expiry. Anonymous play session cookies last up to one year. Guess the Rank accounts and synced progress remain stored until you request deletion. Consent records are kept until you withdraw consent.

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You may request deletion of your Guess the Rank account and progress by email. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact: valpulse.official@gmail.com.
